Cassaundra did my birth pictures for my daughter. She was very professional in the hospital and made me feel very comfortable. I never had birth pictures done, so I was nervous about having someone in there, but she made me feel very secure. The pictures were beautiful and tastefully done. It brought out the emotions of childbirth perfectly. Cassaundra also did newborn pictures just a week after my daughter was born. She took her time to make sure each shot was right.  She even had to settle Sailor back to sleep several times. I had no idea so much work went into posing newborns, but Cassaundra did it all with grace and patience. The pictures, again, were beautiful. I am so happy I have all these memories captured by someone who truly loves what they do.

My biggest regret from the birth of my first child is definitely the lack of photos from that day. I knew I wanted to have a birth photographer for our next child. I found Cassaundra by chance through a Facebook post and I believe it was truly meant to be. From our first meeting, she made us feel comfortable and confident in our choice to hire a photographer. We had consistent communication from after our first meeting, sharing photos, ideas, and inspiration. 

When it got closer to my due date, Cassaundra was wonderful with checking in and listening to all of my end of pregnancy complaining. Haha! She became a friend and an important part of our birth team. She was so patient and stuck with me through false alarms and honestly was such a help and support to me during my last few weeks of pregnancy. 

When it was show time, Cassaundra actually beat us to the hospital! From there, she was exactly what we wanted and needed. Sometimes a distraction to the labor pains, someone to help take my mind off of it. Other times, blending into the background when I needed space. During the actual birth I honestly didn't even know she was there (in a good way). She has such a natural calming and pleasant presence about her that I truly appreciated. 

She stayed with us ALL night and even until my daughter arrived to meet our newborn son at the hospital so she could capture those moments. Seriously above and beyond my expectations. 

Receiving our photos back after the birth was incredible. It's truly a surreal experience being able to look back and see your self giving birth. I don't even have words to describe the feeling. It's a gift I can never thank her enough for. I highly, highly recommend Cassaundra as a birth photographer. What she has provided for our family is invaluable and she will always hold a special place in our hearts and in our birth story.

Cassaundra captured our maternity, birth and newborn pictures for our family. This was baby number 4 for us, and the first time we have ever had professional maternity and newborn pictures done.
